Roxanne was originally released by The Police as a single in 1978 and appeared on their album Outlandos d’Amour but didn’t become a hit until it was re-released in 1979. It is a love song to a prostitute telling her that she doesn’t have to work anymore. This is an incredible jazz version of the song that really gets to the heart of the song, and slowing down the tempo and Lorena‘s expressive vocals ramp up the emotional intensity of the song making it compelling listening. For this performance Lorena is joined by Elliott Blackler on guitar and Adam Hayes on percussion. You can follow Lorena on her Official Website, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Instagram, on SoundCloud, and on her YouTube channel. You can buy her music on iTunes.
