Bridge Over Troubled Water was originally released by Simon & Garfunkel on their 1970 album Bridge Over Troubled Water and as a single. It is about offering comfort to someone when they are down and troubled and offers and offers encouragement that things are about to get much better. This is an incredible version from Jadyn, who is backed by Rick Benbow on piano, Mike Wilbury on bass, and blog favourite Sina on drums. Jadyn starts subtly for the first verse, with only hints of the intensity to come, and only the piano for accompaniment, then ups the stakes for the second verse with orchestral backing. When the third verse starts the previous excellent performance pales to insignificance in comparison with the intensity ramping up several notches with the addition of bass, Sina‘s superb drumming, and Jadyn‘s magnificent vocals that, if you listen with headphones set to the highest volume that you can stand, will take over your entire universe and leave you emotionally drained so that you need time to return to the mundane world. Then Jadyn ends the video with one of the sweetest smiles you’ll ever see.
