Time for some humour.
David Bowie is an English singer, songwriter, musician, producer, actor and artist. He started performing publicly in the early 1960's in various bands using his birth name of Davy Jones which he changed to avoid confusion with Davy Jones of the Monkeys. After several unsuccessful releases he first achieved success in 1969 from which he went on to superstardom, becoming one of the most influential artists of the 20th Century. He regularly changed his public persona and music style, often making dramatic changes shortly after having success, causing his fans to be left trying to catch up with his new directions.
When I’m Five was originally released on the 1984 album Love You Till Tuesday. It is about being four and desperately wanting to be five, it describes what the singer will do after turning five and also describes some events that happen to the four-year old. It is an adorable imagining of the mind of a four year old with ideas that are amusing to grown ups. This video is taken from the film Love You Till Tuesday that was filmed in 1969 but not released until 1984.
