Time for some comedy
Weird Al Yankovic is a comic songwriter and singer from the USA. He is best known for his parodies of popular songs. His career started in 1976 when Californian radio personality, Dr. Demento played a homemade tape of Al's original song Belvedere Cruisin' on his radio show. This lead to more radio appearances and to his first commercial release in 1979 and has had hit records in every decade since then.
Achy Breaky Song was originally released on the 1993 album Alapalooza and as a single. It is a parody of the song Achy Breaky Heart that was originally released by The Marcy Brothers in 1991 as Don’t Tell My Heart but became a hit for Billy Ray Cyrus in 1992 when he released it on the album Some Gave All and a single, and it uses the tune and format similar to Gonna Feel Much Better When You’re Gone that was originally released by Buffy Sainte-Marie on the album I’m Gonna Be a Country Girl Again. This parody is a plea to the DJ not to play the song and offers a lot of alternatives, including other performers that the singer doesn’t like and even says that the singer would rather receive extensive amounts of violence than hear that song again.
