Time for some comedy.
Elise Ecklund is a singer and musician from the USA. She started her YouTube channel in 2015 with guitar tutorials and music covers but has since branched out into other types of content and is now best known for her ukulele work.
7 Rings was originally released by Ariana Grande on her 2019 album Thank You, Next and as a single, and is a reworking of the song My Favourite Things from the 1959 musical The Sound of Music where it was originally sung by Mary Martin in the original Broadway production and by Julie Andrews in the movie. The original is about being rich, feeling entitled, and looking for meaning in buying things. For this version Elise re-wrote the lyrics so that the song applies to real people (and if you’re wondering about the haircut references, see this video here). At the start of the video Elise gives her introduction, and if you can get past the pun then it is a very fun video and the song is more real and much more fun than the original.
You can follow Elise on Twitter, on Instagram, and on her YouTube channel.
