Vasuda Sharma – We Don’t Talk Anymore / Rehna Tu [You Stay]

Vasuda Sharma is an Indian singer and composer. She started singing at a young age but first came to public attention as one of the winners of the second season of the Indian TV talent show Channel V Popstars as part of the band Aasma, during the filming of which she also graduated with an Honours degree in Sociology. She then went on to a successful solo career, starting by crowd funding her first solo album, and has also composed music and worked as musical director for Bollywood movies. She is also a member of the group Sharma and The Besharams.

 

We Don’t Talk Anymore / Rehna Tu [You Stay] is the latest video in Vasuda‘s #VLoopMash series. For this mashup she has combined Charlie Puth‘s We Don’t Talk Anymore, originally released on the 2016 album Nine Track Mind and as a single with Selena Gomez, and Rehna Tu from the 2009 film Delhi-6 where it was sung by A R Rahman, Benny Dayal, and Tanvi Shah. Vasuda has again mixed the 2 songs from 2 different styles and in 2 different languages so seamlessly that if you only understand 1 of the languages you would be forgiven for thinking that the other language was a translation of the one you know.
