Sophia Patsalides – Lost On You

Sophia Patsalides is a young singer from Cyprus. She has been studying piano and singing since she was 5 years old and has had a lot of experience performing in public. She represented Cyprus in the 2014 Junior Eurovision Song Contest (JESC) with her song I Pio Omorfi Mera (The Most Beautiful Day).

 

Lost On You was originally recorded by LP on her 2016 EP Death Valley and as a single. It is a song directed towards a former lover shortly after a break up, looking at the time that was wasted and playing heavily on the pun of the title. Sophia uses a simpler accompaniment, a single piano, and sings with less intensity, but with more emotion, than the original giving a different, but just as compelling, rendition. This is Sophia‘s new single and the latest in her series of excellent covers that she has recently released.
