Time for some comedy.
Sachhi Savitris are a singing duo from India. The duo consists of 2 multi-talented young women, Rashi Mal and Vasuda Sharma.
Rashi Mal is an actress, dancer, choreographer, director, film maker, script writer, singer and song writer from India. She studied, and graduated, as an IT Engineer but turned to choreography and dance and has acted extensively in the Theater before landing parts in Adverts and in series on Indian TV. She has also studied film making in New York, has directed several short films and has written a series of cartoons for Disney as well as having written a play. To top it all off she is also an excellent singer and writes her own material.
Vasuda Sharma is an Indian singer and composer. She started singing at a young age but first came to public attention as one of the winners of the second season of the Indian TV talent show Channel V Popstars as part of the band Aasma, during the filming of which she also graduated with an Honours degree in Sociology. She then went on to a successful solo career, starting by crowd funding her first solo album, and has also composed music and worked as musical director for Bollywood movies.
Social Media Love is the new debut single from the girls. It is about love on Social Media, breaking up, cyber stalking, and starting it all over again. It is a parody of the song Gerua (a colour similar to red ochre) from the 2015 Bollywood movie Diwale (Festival of Lights). It is sung straight-faced with a ukulele accompaniment that takes us through the full length of an online relationship and bops along for the chorus.
You can follow Rashi on Facebook, and on Twitter.
